Moving liquid bulk cargoes such as calcium chloride is possible by filling the barges ballast tanks until maximum carrying capacity is reached.  Using industrial strength shore pumps and onboard pump systems to load and discharge at a high rate allows for productive cargo operations.  The fitted tanks are built for efficient and safe carriage of liquid cargo.
